learning with iPads

I was commissioned to produce some marketing images of a child using an iPad for the website 'Learning with iPads' developed by The Learning Trust, a London based for not-for-profit education provider. The'Learning with iPads' website supports schools in the use of iPads in education by listing educational apps and providing useful resources for teachers. I had a clear brief to produce photos which were natural and showed a child engaged with the iPad. I needed to show them doing different activities, such as reading, taking a picture and playing educational games. Luckily for me, I was able to use my son as my model; he's very fortunate to use iPads at nursery so he needed no introduction to how they work. Using my son made shooting natural images more straightforward as he's used to me pointing my camera at him and he ingores me with little effort! The Learning Trust are pioneering the use of iPads in the classroom by setting them up in combination with Apple TV to allow pupils' work to be viewed both simoultaneously and wirelessly by the teacher. You can see a selection of the images I took here.
